Happy Friday, dear friends! I personally would love to spend my weekend here with friends and family playing cards over lemonade. I hope you have a darling weekend!
Have I mentioned that the Boy is moving away? He’s in the Navy and they’ve posted him out East for the beginning of July. I think we’re both kind of torn up about it. And while I’ve known that this was coming for a while , I kept thinking, “Oh July is so far away, pshaw. There’s loads of time for the two of us.”
But it’s feeling real now. He’s making trips home to say goodbye to family and friends. He’s flying out to Nova Scotia to look for an apartment. Cutting loose ends. Prepping.
The good news is two-fold: we’ve decided to date at a distance, and that means I’m going to be visiting the East coast!
Tell me, have you ever dated someone at a distance? How did you guys make it work?
Oh stress, why do you rob me of precious slumber? Lately I’ve been waking up at an ungodly hour (this morning it was 5:30 a.m.), sick with worry. I never do this. No seriously. I usually sleep like a baby. It’s funny what stress will do to you. I think what I need to do is take a giant chill pill (preferably gulped down with some lemon water) and then I need to take a giant nap (preferably in this bed).

Hello darlings. It’s Friday. It’s time to hang up your work hat and chill out. Do you have big bold plans this weekend? Or quiet, calm plans? I’m having beers with my sister on Saturday, heading for brunch with my Nanny on Sunday and then I think I’ll pop over to the Canadian Museum of Civilization that afternoon to take in the Maya exhibit. Otherwise, I’m getting my wheels turning on a new project I’m working on. Don’t you love putting on your creative hat and planning something special? It’s so refreshing. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

The new issue of Pawsh is out! For anyone in love with their pup, this is the mag for you. Grab your furball and a tall glass of lemonade and enjoy!
I’m so excited to get this book. I’ve been eying it for ages, but I watched Susan Cain’s TED talk and it completely convinced me. I even wept a little at the end of the video (a good sign for this sentamentalist). Oh yes. This is going into my Amazon shopping cart right away!
Love is in the air! Venus is passing directly between the earth and the sun today. This is a once in a lifetime occurence, you beauties! The next time this will happen is December 2117! So grab your main squeeze, head outdoors and watch (with those snazzy cardboard glasses). Or you can check out a live broadcast tonight at 6pm here!
I, quite simply, love Henry. What a beautiful story.
